Dog Massage

Dog massage therapy is the perfect compliment to any veterinary treatment whether it be answers to behavior problems, age related problems, chiropractic work, acupuncture treatments, or pre/post surgery. Along with making your pet happy and more comfortable, my goals are to educate owners with the basics, so they too can massage their pets.

Dog Massage Therapy is the therapeutic application of hands-on, deep tissue techniques that promote health in dogs.

Benefits include:

  • increasing circulation and oxygenation
  • reducing muscle spasms
  • relieving tension and pain
  • enhancing muscle tone
  • promoting healing
  • increasing range of motion by improving joint flexibility.

In addition, dog massage can provide emotional well-being for your pet. Massage therapist often work with animals to calm hyperactivity, anxiousness, and nervousness. It is sometimes done prior to other forms of treatment such as chiropractic care or acupuncture to calm and relax the animal.

If your animal suffers from hip dysplasia, arthritis, anxiety or is prepping or recovering from surgery than you may want to consider massages as part of the healing process.

Dog Massage Therapy is done in our Holistic Center at State Line Animal Hospital where your pet can receive treatment in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. To make an appointment call 913-381-3272.
